PANEL IN ENGLISH
A spirit of communion that enriches the experimental dimension of the musical meetings.
A magical moment that makes us participate in the enrichment of aspiring musicians and that contributes to launching their development.
This is the founding spirit of the Fête de la Musique, an international event that, since 1982 in France, has spread all over the world, now involving around 100 countries, while at European level, thousands of cities are simultaneously celebrating the 21st of June.
Music takes a sensorial dimension and generates new worlds for curious individuals. This power of the emotion certainly explains the national and international success achieved each year by the Fête de la Musique.
It is also a way to remember the power of music, in its capacity as a vector of social emancipation, as demonstrated in particular by the range of ages represented by those attending and the wide array of musical genres including jazz, blues, funk, but also house or prime.
In Europe, these characteristics are shared by a network of the Partners of the AISBL of the Fête Européenne de la Musique / European Music Day Association, an initiative that started in 1995 with the Charter of Budapest that will be renewed and strengthened, as decided last March in the meeting held in Palermo, Italian Capital of Culture 2018, with the development of new projects that reflect the different musical experiences of a real European Culture.
