Lawyer and Executive Director, Artistì (CA)
A member of the Barreau du Québec since 1989, Annie Morin started her career as a lawyer by practising general civil litigation in a Montreal law firm and then, professional law with the Barreau du Québec’s Bureau du syndic. In 1998, she decided to devote her career to artists and to the defense of their rights. She joined the Union des artistes (UDA), first as legal counsel and then as Director of Legal Affairs, before moving towards Artistì, in 2006, where she now holds the position of Executive Director. Annie Morin also sits on the Board of Directors of ReSound, since 2006, as well as on the Board of Directors and the national editorial committee of Les Cahiers de propriété intellectuelle since 2012. Finally, since 2016, Annie Morin is the President of the Canadian section of the Association littéraire et artistique internationale (ALAI) created in Paris, in 1878, by Victor Hugo.
