An expert in intellectual property law and company law, Ciro Romano moved to PolyGram Music in 1995 where he was legal adviser in Corporate Legal before rising to Director of Legal and Business Affairs. In 1999 he became Vice President of Legal and Business affairs at Universal Music until 2001, when he founded Neapolitan Music, followed in 2011 by Neapolitan Live. Ciro is the founder and festival director of Love Supreme Jazz Festival launched in July 2013 in Glynde, East Sussex. The event is now the largest jazz festival in the UK with a weekend attendance in excess of 50,000 and is routinely referenced as one of the top music festivals in Europe. Ciro is also the founder of Nocturne Live at Blenheim Palace – a UNESCO world heritage site. Nocturne is widely considered the premiere stately home concert series in the UK. Neapolitan is the co-owner of the soundtrack album of the multi-Oscar winning ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. The album won 2 music Oscars and 2 Grammys, and has sold more than 2 million albums worldwide and over 2 million singles. In 2014, Neapolitan released the soundtrack to the hit No.1 film Sunshine on Leith, based on the music of the Proclaimers which became the No. 1 UK soundtrack of the year.
