Sebastian Cowan is an artist manager and owner of Arbutus Records. Formed in 2009, after his Montreal loft venue (Lab Synthèse) was shut down by the police, Cowan began recording and managing artists who played in the DIY space. He has helped establishing the careers of artists like Blue Hawaii, Grimes, Majical Cloudz, Sean Nicholas Savage and TOPS – among others. He’s also the co-founder of Montreal based n10.as online radio, and co-pilots the Sounds Of Beaubien Ouest (SOBO) imprint alongside Project Pablo. He’s the eldest of 9 siblings, and has a dog named Bisou.
