Born in Jerusalem in 1977 and living in Milan, composer, multimedia artist and guitar player Yuval Avital develops his works in a variety of spaces, including public ven-ues, industrial archaeological sites, theaters and museums, challenging the traditional crystalized categories that separate the arts. In his installations and total operas, concerts and immersive projects, chamber music and performances one may find traditional masters of ancient cultures, multi-video projections, dancers, soloists and ensembles of contemporary music, performers and recruited public, advanced technological instruments, complex objects and printed artworks. Each artwork has its own identity and becomes, often with the aid of com-plex and articulated multimedia, an experiential, poetic and emotional microcosm, fruit of a meticulous research carried out in a carefully coded language. His transdisciplinary works cross boundaries between the traditional categories of art presented both in majors theaters and opera houses as in museums and art founda-tions.
